This album was really fun. I was having a ridiculously hard time conjuring up a good name for this digi-bundle, so I did a contest with my fanbase for who could post the coolest album title on my facebook wall and April from Harlem won with Vortex. I am down with this but since I wanted to continue the theme of "Sound Track For a Short Film" I decided to merge that with VORTEX. However, the pressing plant decided to same the album art that you will see(for the time being on the site) VORTEX:Chronicles From the Under Ground. So.... I dunno, this is not right but I'm cool for you to refer to it as either one at this point. lol Personally I'm still gonna roll with VORTEX: Sound Track For a Short Film Vol 2 to add to my previous release Soundtrack For a Short Film Vol. 1 Regardless it marks the end of an era of innocence and naivety, discovery and innovation. I have learned a lot developing this eCussionist thing in the subway since May. I feel the people out there responding when they hear this music. So I thank you for listening and responding. Keep in touch. There is more to come. mattvdrums@gmail.com
Matt Vorzimer eCussionist. WHAT IS eCussion you might ask?
eCussion is me playing live drums and triggering sound bites and additional programming at the same time. This record was captured in one to two takes per song with the ability to multi track on the SPDS and perform these sounds in Real time using 3 Roland SPDS' and a mic'd drumset.
